Hannah Jardine awarded annual EPIC Award

Congratulations to Hannah Jardine for winning the 2021 EPIC award.

Every quarter at Istoria Group, we give out an award to the team member – or members - who have best embodied our EPIC brand values. EPIC stands for:

Entrepreneurial Spirit

Personable Approach

Intelligent Thinking

Collaborative Working

Anyone in the Group can put someone forward, either on the basis of one or two or three of these values – or even all four!

The winning person or people may have proved outstanding or produced incredible work on behalf of parent company Istoria Group - or one of its three sister creative companies: Ignition, Phoenix Wharf and Tiny Spark. In some cases, for more than one company.

Q&A with Hannah Jardine, Group Business Manager

How did it feel to be named winner of the EPIC Award 2021?

It’s a privilege. It’s been a very tough couple of years for everyone and for all our businesses. People have been working so hard here - it’s a real accolade to win against such a background.

Which EPIC values really count for you & why?

They’re all very important, but, in these tough times I would say ‘collaboration’ has been the most important aspect of the EPIC values for me, because we’ve all had to really pull together.

That would be closely followed by our entrepreneurial spirit, which has been key to staying ahead of the game and is hugely appreciated too, I know, by our clients. This can be enacted on a big scale, but it’s also about simple ideas and making that extra effort. For our client Galderma, for example, at a health and beauty show at Excel, we introduced a photo booth that printed people’s portraits onto coffee cups. For the whole show people said ‘Oh, YOU’RE the ones that did the coffee cups!’ A little imagination can be a great new business spur too.

What are you most proud of in your work for Istoria Group and Ignition?

Owning the ISO standards process and ensuring we carry on passing the criteria each year. Right from the start at Ignition, we had an anti ‘build and burn’ culture and the ISO standards are key to our sustainability grounding. I’m proud to be the gatekeeper for these.

We’re also – when it comes to Istoria Group - on the waiting list for B Corp certification – as awarded by B Lab for companies that ‘meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability’. If we get that too, it’ll be amazing.

What personally motivates you?

Achievement. Passing audits, advancing our sustainability credentials and winning new clients.

Congratulations Hannah!
