Our collaboration with Galderma

Empowering Individuality. The need to stand out, not fit in. 

 

the Brief

Galderma tasked us with bringing their ‘Empowering Individuality’ campaign to life and promote their new global portfolio campaign at IMCAS. They wanted a highly visible booth that is distinctly different and ‘broke the mould’ in terms of designs previously seen at the show. The design needed to incorporate relevant experiences to attract people to their booth and allow them to interact with their products in a meaningful way. The booth’s aesthetics were to be premium, chic and glamorous to create a wow factor and to deliver impact. To help bring their messages to life, Galderma’s booth needed to embrace digital technology and allow for flexibility with content shown during the show.

Research and initial sketches

We started the design process by immersing ourselves in the world of Galderma - by understanding their products, target audiences, key messages to convey at the show and what experiences they envisaged for visitors to their booth. We carried out our own research and shared insights on the latest trends, not only in their industry, but also lessons learnt from parallel industries outside the world of exhibitions. And most importantly, we explored what success would look like to Galderma.

Design development

Our aim was to create a booth design and experience to set the tone for Galderma’s new era and impress visitors and the industry alike.

 
 

Solution

To bring the Empowering Individuality philosophy to life, we created an open plan layout with a central feature using premium and glamorous textures showcasing the Galderma aesthetics portfolio at the heart of the space.

The booth included a hospitality area, portfolio experiences, meet the expert area, an innovation space and brand specific demo areas. It also included a medical corner to host talks, and casual conversation seating areas.

A professional photographer captured visitors to the campaign photobooth, a refreshingly different approach to all the selfie stations at IMCAS. People were able to sign their own name on the glass, then step behind into an enclosed photo area to have their picture taken.

Display units placed within the innovation area allowed visitors to interact with an augmented reality face app so that participants could visualise the effectiveness of the products on their own face.

The Results

The Galderma experience made its debut at IMCAS World Congress where it was well received by all. It was the most talked about and photographed stand at the show.

Sesderma

Brand Experience

Caricaturist on the stand created pictures of what delegates would look like using the varying products. This was then printed out and given to the delegate attached to a lanyard.

Outside the booth there was a screen showing those waiting what the caricaturist was drawing.

Neauvia

Engagement

Neauvia had an airport-themed booth, where delegates checked in and received a boarding pass for a set time to visit a private room. In the private room all products were displayed. This was incredibly popular.

Samyang

Creative

Samyang had an artist on the stand (pre-show going live ) to create faces from wire. All the faces linked together to demonstrate the use of barbed threads for face lifting and created a focal point on the stand.

Sinclair

Localisation

The stand was locally themed incorporating Paris into the design. Sinclair was giving away flowers to celebrate 10 years of their Ellanse product. Many people carried them round which attracted people to the stand, eager to find out where they came from.

Vivacy

Popularity

Selfies with instant printouts were very popular with delegates. SkinCeuticals, Vivacy and Galderma had such photo booths. Vivacy and SkinCeuticals were self serve, Galderma had a professional photographer.
