Alice Tapson awarded annual EPIC Award

Congratulations to Alice Tapson for winning the 2023 EPIC award.

Every year at Istoria Group, we give out an award to the team member – or members - who have best embodied our EPIC brand values, as nominated by staff members. EPIC stands for:

Entrepreneurial Spirit

Personable Approach

Intelligent Thinking

Collaborative Working

Anyone in the Group can put someone forward, on the basis of exemplifying one or two or three of these values – or even all four! 

The winning person or team may have proved outstanding or produced incredible work on behalf of parent company Istoria Group - or one of its three sister creative companies: Ignition, Phoenix Wharf and Tiny Spark. In some cases, for more than one company.

Winners are rewarded with the equivalent of a £1,000 prize and their plaque on the EPIC Hall of Fame wall. An EPIC Award is the highest honour bestowed on an employee.

How did it feel to be named winner of the EPIC Award 2023?

It was really touching to be recognised! All of my colleagues are pretty E.P.I.C.

WHICH EPIC VALUES REALLY COUNT FOR YOU & WHY?

For me it’s having a personable approach that matters the most.  We take great care in harnessing our beliefs and values and that can always be seen in our work.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF IN YOUR WORK FOR IGNITION?

It’s always really great to see so many different disciplines working together toward the same goal. I am always proud to see how close we get to our original vision – often exceeding it!

WHAT PERSONALLY MOTIVATES YOU?

Design is never static so it’s crucial to always think both strategically and creatively but that means constantly discovering new ways to work which is exciting 😊.
