Celebrating IWD 2025: Catching Up with Devon Lowndes from Self Agency

This International Women’s Day, we’re reflecting on the power of supporting women-led businesses and celebrating those who continue to drive meaningful change.

Two years ago, as part of our IWD initiative and #BCorpMonth, Istoria Group launched a competition to find a local, women-owned micro business to support through our Incubator Hub. With the help of Babbasa and Black South West Network, we set out to reach underrepresented entrepreneurs, offering office space, mentoring, and creative services to help them thrive.

The winner? Devon Lowndes, founder of Self Agency, whose vision is to make Bristol the neurodiversity capital of the UK. Over six months, we supported Self Agency with business guidance, financial mentoring and a brand and website refresh.

Now, two years on, Devon continues to champion inclusivity and drive meaningful change. So, in the spirit of this year’s IWD theme, "Accelerate Action", we asked her:

“What’s one piece of advice you’d give to young women who want to create change in their careers or communities?”
